Yes, I know - I should have been more explicit.
I can open a connection to the database OK, but no clue as to what 
tables and structure is in it, so I needed to query a system table to 
find out what tables are in it.

I tried a data control but whenever I tried to link another data-
aware control to it and select DataField I get 
"Syntax error in From Clause" error.

Anyway I downloaded a viewer from H_Man's helpfull if sarcky link, so 
problem now solved.
