Pick a fairly small one -- less than, say, 50 > lines or so. Doesn't the book say which computer or OS? There should be some reference to the flavour of the language or the target machine. Atari, Commodore, some C/PM machine, even probably HP Basic (later renamed to HT Basic and ported to the PC). In my experience: with really similar Basics totally unexpected problems may be caused by some slight difference. :-( Helmut.
