You seriously don't know what your talking about...  .NET is a BIG part 
of windows 8 and metro.  HTML/JavaScript is just one way to create 
limited functionality metro apps.  Most apps will be C#/VB or C++ using 
wpf as the front end.  Some parts of the .net runtime will be mapped to 
winrt - but, .net is not dead.
