Actually you seem to be doing just fine.  You figured out how to reach 
grid structure, didn't you?

That's for turning _function_ plots into fences.  For data, it's a bit 
simpler: apply your knowledge about building grids to turn each 
individual line of (n) data points into an (n x 2) surface.  Separate 
surfaces by double blank lines.
