Somehow I got confused by some of the references I read, and gave a description of Newton-Raphson division, which is actually a separate technique, as that of Goldschmidt division. I have now corrected the page in question, http://www.quadibloc.com/comp/cp0202.htm to correctly describe both methods individually. John Savard
