I have fixed problem, mea culpa I just would not believe it was my end 
as it was always telstra, I just got off my backside and started testing 
and searching and found the meeces had chewed through at the point of 
entry cabling,fixed it up with some telstra connectors I have a bottle 
of and have now got

back again, And can now logon with 192.168.1.1 in the address bar 
without the http://(not browser input)

entering direct he is sending email to cancel things tomorrow but I bet

Yeah, there is no substitute for completely rigorous
testing when its not obvious where the fault is.

And the ratio is about right, likely you
now have the incoming line going just
to the modem, no extra phone sockets.

Yeah, its not clear how much difference that will make, very
few have come out of coexistence yet so we don’t have any
reports of what difference it makes from the field yet.

Then you will do better if you remove them electrically
unless they are wired in a daisy chain and the modem
is in the last one, electrically furthest from the street cable.

Its irrelevant whether there is anything plugged into them,
what matters is the cable going to them. If its electrically
connected to the line that is electrically connected to the
street cable and form a spur, they resonate at VDSL2
frequencys and reduce the synch rate in the modem.

That is it basically, but someday when I get a TUIT and some cable from 
the wholesaler I will change the situation.

You don’t need any cable, just use some sidecutters to electrically
disconnect the unused phone sockets from the incoming line.

Too much trouble, the wiring darts every which way in the roof from one 
socket to the next with the modem on the end.

If the modem is electrically on the end, and you get a lower synch
when you put the modem on the other sockets for a test, there isnt
any point in point in removing the extras sockets, there are no spurs.

You should have at least 2 fuses for power points in your house pull
one of those fuses out of power board

Then plug modem into the opposite power point. Example if modem is off
plug it into a power source that is on. Return fuse to power board.
