Labor never had a plan but a vague concept and their costing were crap as
was their carrying it out.

Having said that my internet has declined greatly recently. I am getting
drop outs which I have never got until recently but the fools still
believed them.

Try this

http://www.pingtest.net/

My line quality now goes from A to F, as does my ping and Jitter.

When I ring up Optus support, they say none nonsense. What it is I am sure
is that too many people are using cable TV so it goes bad in the evening
when people are watching.

Nope, under their plan the whole NBN project would have resulted in a 7%
return. The Libs screwed that return by buying the copper the original NBN
would have replaced.

Ubiquitous fibre to the premises was an excellent idea. It would have
provided a first rate data network and made Australia a unique,
English speaking, test bed for new applications that depend on a mass
market with very high speed access. It would also re-nationalise much
of the Australian communications network which should never have been
privatised, particularly not to retailer. It's a pity that there is
no similar plan to re-nationalise the mobile network.

Unfortunately, the successful implementation of the project required
an extremely talented staff and, typically, Labor appointed a party
 hack to lead NBNCo.

Even sillier than he usually manages. Plenty of non english speaking ones.

And that alone is terminally stupid.

Doesn't explain why speedtest gets a much better result over the same
copperwire
when a vpn is used. speedtest must be completely fucked to get that result.

The copperwire now only goes to the nearest pot.
Which is connected to optic fibre
Before it went down to a old creek bed took about 20k to exchange.

Just did another on my mobile without VPN

And when the vpn test uses exactly the same copper pair,
there must be something VERY wrong with speedtest
when it gets a much better result with the vpn in use.

Which means that speedtest is getting seriously confused by the vpn.

That doesn't look right either, looks like you are
confused about which results you are posting.

They can't be right when they give such radically
different results on the same physical connection.

If the non vpn result is correct, the vpn result must be measuring
something other than your physical connection, it must be
measuring the part of the circuit between the vsp and the
source of the downloads, not your physical connection at all.

If the result with the vpn is correct, it must getting seriously
confused in the test without any vpn involved.

You mean two different sims presumably.

Why doesn't the vodafone result show cellular and android ?

It looks like the previous one is actually your copper pair line,
but is somehow using vodafone in Brisvegas for some reason.
Makes no sense at all and my explain why your copper pair
test with no vpn makes no sense at all if it is actually that test.

Doubt it
VPN is a bit slower because my computer encrypts it's information then
sends it to a server in USa to be decrypted then passed to it's
destination. The reverse happens on way back

Vodafone was mobile data only which operated via USB with sim
connected to computer some years ago now. Vodafone proved a hoax after
a month it went dead.
Reported by other users on Whirlpool as a vodafone "norm"

My main computer is 3 years old and is a bit dated I don't turn the
VPN off

Just did another one from non-VPN Laptop WIN 32bit
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/50667687/SeedTestTelstra2.png

Bit slower today, as more people sign on FTTN this is expected.
