They can't be right when they give such radically
different results on the same physical connection.

If the non vpn result is correct, the vpn result must be measuring
something other than your physical connection, it must be
measuring the part of the circuit between the vsp and the
source of the downloads, not your physical connection at all.

If the result with the vpn is correct, it must getting seriously
confused in the test without any vpn involved.

You mean two different sims presumably.

Why doesn't the vodafone result show cellular and android ?

It looks like the previous one is actually your copper pair line,
but is somehow using vodafone in Brisvegas for some reason.
Makes no sense at all and my explain why your copper pair
test with no vpn makes no sense at all if it is actually that test.
