Happened to me WIN10 64bit but would come right with reboot always took two starts to get it going once Driver issue mine is Intel so used their update manager http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html -- Petzl

Its more complicated than that. If the antenna part of the wifi is damaged in the laptop, it will get less signal and so the result you are seeing.

How do I do that if I don't have install discs for Win 7? I can't do a Reset PC as Petzl suggested because I would need to reinstall Office and I have already used up the licenses for that.
