But not the correct answer in the specific case of the Mint download page. When you want to download a Mint .iso by accessing the Mint dl page, selecting your choice of .iso such as Cinnamon 64 with codecs, then you are presented an upper section with md5, release notes, announcements, torrent link and a lower section with dozens of mirrors of which you MUST pick one from the list of many. There's no other way. It is not necessary that you notice that the word mirror is mentioned so many times on that page, but it IS necessary that you notice that you have a LOT of choices where to download from. > You look micro, I talk macro.
