You can set the environment for things to happen,
but you don't make things happen. They happen from
their own side, if they do. You can put up a
welcoming, receptive attitude, and that is all.

By the way, when K says: "the state of mind that
sees and does not demand", in Buddhist mindfulness
it is said: just look and do not judge. Turning the
light of consciousness back on itself does not go
farther than that.
