how do I stop getting this pop-up every time I start SeaMonkey?

Every time I start SeaMonkey I get a pop-up window demanding I provide a 
certificate to the IMAP server.  Despite there being a check-box on this 
to "Remember this decision" which IS checked, I get this pop-up window 
at every start for each of the two IMAP servers involved in my email.

How do I get this done automatically?  Given the check-box it appears 
that this is SUPPOSED to be automated, but it is NOT.

This is with SeaMonkey 2.53.7.1 on linux mint 20.1 x64 here.
