By "rules", I mean that there are behaviors for every d'n'd act/gesture, 
but I have no idea if there is some documentation for that, specific for 
SM; maybe the instructions for the 'Mail'n'News SM'have them.

'D'n'd' is widely used (not by me, as I said ...), so my best suggestion 
is to just search for "drag'n'drop" (or variants thereof); maybe your 
favorite IA could find more concrete info...

In this instance, I sometimes use d'n'd to reorder the mail folders, and 
that's when the accidents happened.
