Richard, first off, have a look, on your mail screen, at Edit --> Mail & 
Newsgroups Account Settings.

That should show you what Mail Profiles your current iteration of 
SeaMonkey knows about.

In each account listed, have a look at the Local Directory location .... 
which should show you where each of your Profiles is located.

Also, on the Mail & Newsgroups Account screen, have a look at Tools -> 
Switch Profiles. It might show you where some of your "lost" Profiles 
should be located. Whilst your there, actually switch to each of the 
other profiles to see if they are your LOST Profiles.
