I currently run SeaMonkey 2.53.21 on Debian 12.8 .
Before updating *EITHER* I need purge obsolete files.
I have several SeaMonkey profiles that have not been even viewed, let
alone used, in well over a year.
My intention is to:
1. Exit SeaMonkey
2. Copy *ALL* existing profiles to another device.
[ Even back in 60's we learned the value of backups. ]
3. Restart SeaMonkey.
4. Use SeaMonkey's internal tools to delete the obsolete profiles.
Then I'll ask how to straighten out an abused Mail directory structure.
Something happened in last few weeks which resulted in the messages from
one mailing list being stored in a sub-folder of an unrelated mailing
list. [Yes sometimes the elderly need to be reminded about backups]
Some of my user area can trace their "logical structure", if not
"physical structure" back to days of Netscape when I abandoned Windows
for Debian Squeeze.
Any comments or suggested reading.
TIA
