I haven't deleted any games yet, but yeah, I noticed that too. A little
irritating huh?

You may have noticed if you did an upgrade that some apps had to be re-
downloaded and had a little down-arrow icon in their tile too.

Yep, sure are. But once I took some time to move some things to the
'start tiles' and the taskbar I seldom go there any more.

The only problem is that sometimes MS screws up a update which can cause
real issues. Overall I've not had the issue and even had auto updates on
in W8/W8.1 too.

I can't fault the 'desktop mode' much. It works just fine for me. I'm
not at all enamored of the 'tablet mode' though. Just too damned half-
assed to be really useful. And I'm one that really liked the 'Modern UI'
on my laptops/hybrids.

Wifi is still twitchy as hell. Fixed for awhile, then an update which
makes it twitchy again, followed by one to fix it ad nauseum! :(
