> ### - (smile...) winner/loser tomatoe/tamato? hehe... >> >> unfortunately it's all an 'act' either way for poor old moi (laffing) > > your imagination is secretly creating reality for you. > i know it don't seem like it, with all the shit you > have to step on in the meanwhile. Either our free will > has a hand in it or we're all slaves to circumstances. > I'm tired of shaking the bush here boss. (lol) ### - it's both imho + if you's tired of shakin' it then maybe try tyin' a bit of string to it? (smile) >> i.e., >> >> "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster and treat those two impostors >> just the same," > > well if you're gonna play the game you might as well play the > best you can. ### - win or lose always do yer best matey, have lost 'spectacularly' a few times for example lol, real beauts :))) >> then you are screwed my son when it comes to ever really believing in >> anything ever again! lol :))) > >> iow: it's all an act on my part either way me old mate... > > i suppose so, actors out on loan? where's my bone? ### - ya have to have a front-man innit; james bond didn't go around tellin' everyone he was james bond until he was ready to blow their heads off lol, he played it cool man, stayed undercover until the right time came heh, fitted-in without ever really belonging; that's wot gave him his edge ;) >> and don't 'actually' give a flying rat's tutu about winning or losing ;) > > well yeah at the end of the day you go home and have a good laugh > like our miner in Treasure of Sierra Madre. ### - another good movie haha; it all turns to dust in the end no matter 'what' ya fuckin' try to do and no matter the part you play lol :))) so is god takin' the piss do ya think? ;) >> what i get out of it being the daily challenge of facing the impossible, >> of thus continually attempting to turn a molehill into a mountain for >> real, with a teaspoon (there is no spoon?) > > we'll get you a good backhoe. ### - plenty hoes round here boss ahaha, this is south london pal :D >> problem with the lottery being there's no skill in it? > > just that you have to buy a ticket or have someone else > score the ticket for you. ### - exactly, can do that in yer' sleep (as many in fact do heh) and so there's no chance to influence it any whatsoever! i.e., pick 6 races with around 69 runners in each race (69 runners??) and then select one horse from each race blindly with a pin, and that's the lottery for ya's lol, fuck dat! haha :))) >> the equivalent of picking 6-horses with a pin, no form or variables to >> consider, nada! iow: no involvement! > > then you can say you did your 'your' way. the horses will salute you. > ha ha ### - they'd be doin' the can-can lol :))) >> that at least with the horses there's an actual chance of getting it all >> right, of the perfect storm occurring on the perfect day, and that thus >> results in a one-time life-changing event that doesn't even really >> involve >> the money in the final analysis but one's changed/trimmed inner self >> instead (kinda deep shit heh) > > "it could happen" (old judy tunuta saying) ### - there's a realistic chance, a small one but at least it's real + you gets to choose the horses based on their form, jocky's, trainers, even the weather lol; in fact dozens of changing variables that can't supply definitive answers, only hints & clues that can narrow the odds some (there's always several that defo *aren't* gonna win for example) >> i.e., facing the impossibility of it and yet still diligently applying >> oneself regardless to beat the odds, eventually has a very sobering >> effect >> upon the mind; with no delusion of winning you still work away at it >> trying to win, trimming the whatever-system (and yourself indirectly) in >> the process; there's no surprise at losing only at winning hah! (which >> does happen occasionally! but am used to losing, losing is easy! am >> great >> at losing lol, just rolls-off like water off a duck's back! but how the >> fuck am i ever gonna cope if it wins?? am not ready for that just yet >> having not had much training in that dept lol....) > > grasshopper boy that is what i am gearing you up for here. ### - ahahaha! (ya made me belly-laff hehehe) :))) > you're in training, perfect this undertaking. Of course you're > not gonna win right out of the gate, it takes a little practice. > this is where YOUR intent starts, you gotta have it, don't look > for it 'out there' in the cosmic goldfield. ### - i know of the possibility, but not of how i'll deal with the resulting heart attack LOL :))) >> iow; it's how slider does his daily press-ups lol, a way for coming to >> terms with the monstrous odds we all face on a daily basis that makes >> the >> lottery odds look like a childs toy, but never consciously nor >> deliberately deal with otherwise because it's too scary & generally >> fucks >> up all yer' plans if/whenever ya do lol ;) > > Ah don't be afraid of winning, it's just like losing but it's > more fun. anyone can lose. nothing to it. watch me, j/k. ### - nearly 30 years ago (pre-online days etc + my early days of the ponies) one day i had 3 winners up, and had watched them all romp home while standing in this little betting shop at the back trying to be invisible heh, with 3 winners i'd already won around £35 and now the last race was starting, 6 runners, and when i looked at its odds they were 50 to feckin' one?? well boy, my legs literally started shaking haha, and even ended prayin' the damn thing would lose or maybe i'd never make it home again alive lol... fuck me i (or rather: my body) went to pieces? i was sooo relieved when it lost that i swore i'd never watch another live race again haha, and 'coz it's far less scary to look up your bet the next day in the paper instead of watching it live (true story) :) >> next book: Zen and the art of gambling on the ponies :D :D :D > >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXspsfoPX50 > > five six seven, whoopie we are (all beings) who are going to die. ### - it was only by beating unbelievable fuckin' odds that we're (you & i) are even here at all? and that was just to be born! then you had to survive growin' up and vietnam and everything lol, and 'coz not everyone made it this far?? 'incalculable' odds! - we're literally all walking feckin' miracles! billion to one shots! and then you drive that bloody big bike as well?? lol :P and it all seems like nada doesn't it LOL! smile, now if i could only go back to being around age 16 again, albeit 'with' everything i've now learned? maan, i'd live an entirely 'different' life to the one i did, or was otherwise forced to live as part of the learning curve? ;) and now here we are, a couple of old farts gettin' ready to take our leave already haha; one of the little ironies of life being that just as you're really getting wise here ya have to leave? so is wallyworld only for the kids do ya think? is all that 'energy' (of their world) only generated and held in-place + kept-going by... morons?? (lol) is wisdom for the young anathema, a contradiction of terms? (an oxy-moron haha) what they thus 'needs' is the wisdom of the 60 to 70 year old, at around age 30? we can do this! it's not such a stretch + have done precisely that several times over already down the ages, it's just that we don't live too long and there's so very much to... overcome? (so much crap) it's gonna take wise parents to raise wise children innit, and at the moment we don't have many of those... so generations mate! it's gonna take generations... and they haven't even barely started yet ;)
