I receive emails from Paypal talking about things like changes to the 'legal
agreements' or other such rubbish, but there is no option in the email to
unsubscribe.

Is there law that requires companies to offer an opt-out to such
communications, or does having an account with a company entitle the company
to send any communications it chooses?
