I wasn't thinking primarily about beaches.

I had a little rowing dinghy and it was a fun place. Sometimes I'd row 
down the Cocheco but you had to watch the tides.

I liked that too. Catch it right and you could ski along by the ocean. The 
snow didn't last long but it was fun while it lasted. A friend and I used 
to sail in his yawl out of Kittery. Made it to St. John NB one summer. 
That's another place you'd best be watching the tides.

I've got a kayak but right here the rivers are a one way trip. Great 
cardio workout though. You can paddle like hell upstream and not go 
anywhere. The lakes are infested with motorboats and jet skis.
