You might want to also try the mailing lists linked from <http://www.debian.org/ports/powerpc/>, for example the list archives at <http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/>. One of the posts <http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2010/07/msg00061.html> suggests Squeeze should work. I see there is an out-of-date <http://sowerbutts.com/linux-mac-mini/> for Sarge, but it may still be useful.
