Die Paketverwaltung von Mint kennt tin nicht. In der
Synaptic-Paketverwaltung habe ich die Anwednung dann gefunden. Synaptic
ist nachinstalliert.

"tin kann News lokal (z.B. aus /var/spool/news) oder von einem anderen
Rechner (rtin oder tin mit der -r-Option) unter Nutzung eines
NNTP-Servers (Network News Transport Protocol) lesen."

Schmeckt alles ein wenig nach uralt und ungepflegt. In die Zeit passt es
sowieso eher nicht mehr. Wie übrigens das ganze Usenet.
