RFDs are for groups in the big8, you were asking about an alt group,
it's more like the wild-west there, no RFDs

What moderator?
If you've asked ES to "add" the group, Ray's response will have been "it
doesn't exist, so it can't be added" ...
Given that a.o.linux.mepis exists and the 'M' in MXlinux stands for
mepis, what benefit is there for having a new group? Build it and they
will come is not very likely to happen given the level of traffic I can
see here.
However if you think it's worthwhile, don't let me/marco/grant/adam
discourage you, but have a better go at justifying why a new group will
do more good than harm ...
