It's the new NHS, where doctors don't see patients any more. It sounds
very much like you'll be given a telephone consultation instead of a
face-to-face review. I recently had one of these, the doctor finished by
saying words equivalent to "If the symptoms suggest you're about to die
over the weekend, go to A&E". I treated the condition with a change of
diet, not something doctors know much about.
