I don't see the point in that when the built-in free mail client, Apple Mail, has a built-in Spotlight search facility that lets you find messages *way* faster than any command-line grep search could possibly hope to find them, and with flexible and rich search criteria. It's extremely fast and flexible. You can certainly export any mailbox from Apple Mail to MBOX format by selecting the mailbox in question and choosing Mailbox > Export Mailbox from the menu bar. But, again, there's no need to do that since the built-in search facility is faster than any command-line search. -- E-mail sent to this address may be devoured by my ravenous SPAM filter.
