right.. so you can learn after you turn up at a venue that the event has 
been cancelled, because you just turned your phone on, and the message 
was sent two hours ago.. :)

just turn it off if you don't want to be contacted. or you can just 
allow certain callers and send all others to voicemail, or just put it 
on silent and ignore all calls, which will divert to voicemail anyway
