Here in Sydney, we have most (all?) channels duplicated on VHF and UHF, to deal with the specific geographic features of Sydney. The Eastern suburbs and the lower North Shore enjoy severe reception problems, due to topography and the Sydney Habour Bridge. As a consequence, the signals are simultaneously broadcast by UHF transmitters to cater for that area. Although I live around 20km South of those transmitters, I can pick up the signals. The signal is mostly weak and barely usable however. VHF is the correct signal to use for most of Sydney, though many people can easily pick up the UHF transmissions. -- Trevor Wilson www.rageaudio.com.au --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
