IME, it's obviously possible to have quality software that is free.
Much of what I use is free and works perfectly for me.

Some on this machine:

Foobar2000 for audio files
Media Player Classic
VLC player
SumatraPDF
Exact Audio Copy
Grabit
Clamwin
Irfanview

I can see the day coming where I'll be permanently using Linux as
well. Windows is NOT going in a good direction, IMO.
