Writing is just typing out what you would say if you were having a 
conversation.
I assumed you did other things --reply to a couple of posts and then 
have some coffee and a smoke and another coffee and then reply to more 
posts and then you have to pee from drinking all that coffee. You hear a 
show come on that you want to watch and then the mailman comes by with 
the shoes you ordered last week and you chat with him about something 
banal like the weather which reminds you about usenet because I'm always 
complaining about the weather, so you come back and post some more.

People are weird. I used to have coffee sometimes with the IT guy that 
sat beside me. If it was just the 2 of us he would talk a lot, usually 
about stuff like the rabbits in his yard or Nikola Tesla. He was totally 
gay for Tesla.But if someone else joined us, the IT guy wouldn't say a 
word. People would say to me  'He's so quiet' but not so much.
