OK, how do you get the 'Unknown Monitor' selection to give you a 1920x1200
resolution?

I have attempted that route already but at most this gives me a
1280x1024...hmm...aha!!! strange indeed...but now that I have reverted to my
known/good 1920x1200 (single LCD) configuration I can now select the 'Unknown
Monitor' and sure enough...1920x1200 is still there.

I suspect I have a problem with the LCD EDID and somehow SNAP is using the
HEAD_0 information to drive HEAD_1...buggy if you ask me...but I can't for the
life of me figure out the logic SNAP is using to determine what timings are
meant for what display.

I'm going to re-boot now to see if the 'Unknown Monitor' selection overrides the
invalid EDID on the panel.

Thanks!
