Look at a file named ~/.config/Signal/config.json There's a line there that says "safeStorageBackend": "kwallet5" Change that to "safeStorageBackend": "kwallet6" I think it was mentioned here at some point -- I wish I remembered who to credit, because I didn't come up with this myself. Good luck!
