Sorry, but most PCs come preinstalled with Windows -- haven't you ever read any of chris's complaints about how it was cheaper for him to buy a Windows PC and wipe it? As such, the most common use case for this scenario is that only Word was required on the Windows side (and you still have neglected to clarify just how many hours it would take for Linux & its tools ... how convenient!) > > since it pretty much requires total incompetence to > > actually need that long IRL merely to install MS-Word. > > > > We're talking Windoze too. There is no requirement to document > anything in a document. Broken? <<http://lmgtfy.com/?q=define%3A+%20document>> Nope: doc·u·ment noun noun: document; plural noun: documents ˈdäkyəmənt/ 1. a piece of written, printed, or electronic matter that provides information or evidence or that serves as an official record. And here's origins too: "late Middle English: from Old French, from Latin documentum ‘lesson, proof’ (in medieval Latin ‘written instruction, official paper’), from docere ‘teach.’" As I said, all you have is a bunch of semi-random text: just what does it actually _document_? When you keep on setting the bar so low for yourself ... you end up with a Camry ;-P -hh
