Correction.  This is a bad idea!  The correct way to do this is to rope
in the window manager.  Include X11/Xutil.h and then, after creating the
window, do

     XSizeHints sizeHints = {
          .flags = PMinSize, .min_width = width, .min_height = height
     };
     XSetWMNormalHints(display, window, &sizeHints);
