There are 6 cases to consider, corresponding to the 6 different ways of
ordering 3 distinct values. Try all 6 cases yourself. If your function
returns the correct result for all of them, it's (probably) correct.
1, 2, 3
1, 3, 2
2, 1, 3
2, 3, 1
3, 1, 2
3, 2, 1
max3() should return 3 for all 6 cases.
For most problems, it's not practical to test all possible inputs.
Computing the maximum of 3 numbers is one of the few cases where
you can actually do that.
