Wow. There's a lot to unpack in this stew of resentment, misinformation, and outright dehumanization. Let's start with the language: calling human beings "parasites" is not just vile -- it's the kind of rhetoric used to justify cruelty, neglect, and worse. If you're that comfortable dehumanizing kids and families trying to survive, you might want to take a long look in the mirror before ranting about "what's disgusting." You complain about California being a "welfare state" while ignoring that it's also the fifth largest economy in the world -- in no small part because of immigrant labor and a diverse population. The state subsidizes many of the red states that love to bash it while cashing the federal checks its economy helps fund. Now about those kids your wife teaches: she's helping children who are multilingual and navigating a foreign culture and system. That's not a burden -- that's a remarkable opportunity to build global citizens. If you think it's "disgusting" that a public school is serving all children regardless of background or language, maybe public service isn't the right career path for either of you. You whine about paying into health insurance and not getting good coverage -- welcome to the private, profit-driven system conservatives have fought to protect for decades. Liberals have been the ones trying to fix it, expand coverage, regulate insurance companies, and make healthcare a human right. If you're mad that a working immigrant gets basic care while you're stuck with a $5,000 deductible, maybe your anger is pointed in the wrong direction. Try aiming it at the insurers and the politicians they bankroll -- not the folks trying to keep their kids healthy. And as for the tired "Biden welcomed millions of illegals" nonsense: no, he didn't. Immigration numbers are influenced by global instability, legal backlogs, and years of Congress (both parties but more the Republicans than the Democrats) refusing to pass meaningful immigration reform. And let's not pretend people "jumping the fence" are getting golden tickets. They're often stuck in bureaucratic hell, exploited for cheap labor, or living in fear of deportation -- while doing jobs most Americans won't touch. So yeah -- if you're "sick of this shit," maybe it's not California you should be fleeing. Maybe it's your own lack of empathy and unwillingness to see the bigger picture. California isn't perfect, but it's still better off than a place that writes off entire groups of people as parasites. -- It's impossible for someone who is at war with themselves to be at peace with you.
