Hi from Australia on our yearly jaunt. I'm posting here because I posted on the VA mailing list about a spurious and very strange file that had appeared in the partition alongside my VA directory. I've dealt with that now by quarantining it then removing it. Nothing has fallen over. Virtual Acorn Adjust 4.39 Windows 10 Acer netbook. W10. For some reason I cannot fathom, Netsurf reads HTML file OK but suddenly cannot get out to the wide world. Error - Could not resolve hostname. I've never had to do anything in Configure.Network. As stated in the VA manual, it just worked out of the box. What could have changed? Netfetch and Pluto work OK so they can communicate with Orpheus correctly. Configure.Network.Resolver has Host name "standalone" which I presume has always been there. In case of corruption, I can't download a fresh copy of Netsurf from RISC OS as I can't get out. Catch 22. Bah! Humbug! / Merry Christmas (Delete as applicable). -- Chris
