I have just tried to print a PDF file (217 KB) received by e-mail. Opening the file with !PDF and using the RISC OS PoScript 2 Printer Driver the spool file was 15MB. I left it to print while I drove to the Post Box and back, and only 21% of the file had even found its way to the printer. Transfering it to the Windows XP machine, using Adobe Reader and the dedicated HP 2100 PostScript driver produced a spool file of less than 0.5 MB. Why the huge difference? -- Russell http://www.russell-hafter-holidays.co.uk Russell Hafter Holidays E-mail to enquiries at our domain Need a hotel? <http://www.hrs.com/?client=en__blue&customerId=416873103>
