Cups on my system at times is extremely slow finding the printer. my default printer hpd is an HP M402 printer. But if I run say lpstat -a it takes 25 sec before it lists the printere. It will do the same at times when i try to print something. I cannot tell when it behaves and when not. In /var/log/cups/error I getthe following lines ------------- W [09/May/2026:13:48:00 -0700] Printer drivers are deprecated and will stop working in a future version of CUPS.
