Although you are right to be suspicious this one is actually a genuine 
Apple tightening up verification of users age as a response to UK child 
protection legislation. OS upgrade last week triggered it.

You can ignore it but if you ever want to download something that is not 
child friendly then you will have to verify that your age is above 18.

It would be nice if it worked reliably on legacy hardware.
Apple iPhone 13 has so far resisted attempts to prove over 18 status.

It is very hard for end users to tell the sheep from the goats these 
days as the scams are so convincing. AI has done away with bad English 
and grammar almost completely and look alike cloned sites are common.
