You could try ssh to the RDP port. Clearly, that's not actually going to work, but you should get some indication of whether it's at least managing to connect to the port, which in turn would indicate whether it's a networking problem, or a protocol issue. Trying that from the Win7 box to localhost could also be informative. Sylvia.
