I don't mean to annoy you, but isn't that what Hitler thought too?

https://www.historyonthenet.com/20-hitler-christian-atheist-something-else-richard-weikart

'Adolf Hitler was a pantheist who believed nature was the only true “God.”'

I am not sure what to believe.

Some people think forests are sentient.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/the-whispering-trees-180968084/

When I was a kid I grew up living next door to a forest so I'd like to think that was true.

For some, pantheism is empowering, not unifying;
Hitler wanted to kill Einstein & vice versa.

Forests are sentient, in my (worthless) opinion.

Does that make an individual tree semi-sentient, or what?

Hi whodat!

As I understand it the individual trees communicate via
networks of symbiotic fungi.

https://sitn.hms.harvard.edu/flash/2019/exploring-the-underground-network-of-trees-the-nervous-system-of-the-forest/

Apparently, different species of tree communicate about infections, predators, etc.

Hi Jeff,

I hope you are in good health and spirits.

Sorry for bringing up Hitler; it's just that as you may know, one

point of the debate between atheists and Christians is if H was

a Christian or an atheist, but some people say he was neither.

I am an atheist but wish there were Gods in existence.

> For some, pantheism is empowering, not unifying;

After reading Greg Bear's THE VISITATION yesterday I was
wondering if the Trinity is a partial return to pantheism?

> Hitler wanted to kill Einstein & vice versa.

You bet

I don't agree your opinion is worthless. Admittedly, this
may be confirmation bias because we agree about the
sentience of forests :-)))))))))))))))))

Nature is Thee God, not a God.

Nature, the cosmos; nothing more, nothing less.

> After reading Greg Bear's THE VISITATION yesterday I was
> wondering if the Trinity is a partial return to pantheism?

Christianity refined prior religions.

The best art merely refines prior art.

Joe Biden thinks he's Thee God & we're his subjects;
he preaches _fear_ with great abandon (!)
because every FlyByNight cult needs its Apocalypse.

FlyByNight, fear mongering cult !

Again: The best art refines prior art.
Yet "trust fund babies" ( euphemistically called "communists" )
try their damnedest to _destroy_ prior art.

> > Forests are sentient, in my (worthless) opinion.

The value of my opinions depends on who you are, obviously.

My opinions are _everything_ ( to me );
yet, at the same time, they're _nothing_ ( to others ).

Life everything, yet nothing.
