- I gained some respect for Zelensky since yesterday.

The guy must be someone to recon with. I thought he was just a crook. He
didn't take bullshit from present U.S. administration. He reacted very
realistically and did what any sane man can, discussing with essentially
Nazi idiots.

That matter was felt all over Europe as well, and they all backed
Zelensky's side. Kudos for Zelensky.

Let me give you an analogy (you need it!) of what's been happening since
Ukrainian war began.

Imagine one of the major breadwinners in your family is sick in the
hospital and you have to spend a lot of money to keep him alive and
giving him a chance to recover. You decide to do that. But after some
time and paying some medical bills, you treat the breadwinner
aggressively, shouting at him who's helplessly lying in hospital bed,
that he has caused such and such amounts of money and "is not in a
position" to say what he wants, and "is not getting much better" and
"Does not have any cards in his hands."

Do you see the stupidity there? That's how stupid Trump and his admin is.

So Zelensky essentially told those Bozos, "You Bozos better shut your
traps and help Ukraine for your own fucking interests; or, grab your
stupid asses and fuck off and let Putin have it. It is _you_ who are not
in a position to say what you want. Not Ukraine. You have to pay for
getting what you want later in Ukraine."

Anybody with slightest sense in him understood Zelensky's position,
including even the Iranian leader, who tweeted about it in Ukrainian
language.

Zelensky's reaction to bullshit he was receiving from Trump showed what
kind of Nazis they are and how they look at Ukraine. Then of course all
the American media got full of "Oh, see how Zelensky lost his chances
with the US help." No. Trump exposed himself and his nonsensical actions
regarding Ukraine. Just like members of that family in the analogy
above, telling to their own breadwinner he's does not have any cards in
his hands.

The card is a friendly Ukraine. Bigger than the lousy "$350B" Trump was
talking about. $350B is a Bill Gates. Who the fuck is Bill Gates
compared to Ukraine?...

What a fuckup indeed. What a fucked up act can the wrong man and a
fucked up system do in White House. And kudos for Zelensky. It made my
day yesterday.

Yeah but you know what, Trump has a point. This could indeed be
WWIII. Ukraine would be the beginning and it already has been - let's
get off that track. With DJT as president, and me working with him
and Sec. Rubio, Sen. Graham and anyone who has the status, Putin will
finally lay off.

Threat of WWIII is not from Ukraine. It is from Trump and the Nazi
people who put that NY thug in that office.

If WWIII starts, it would be something that must come and pass. Nazis
are tolerated only so much. After that, the world will come for your
overgrown asses!

Making agreements with Hitler didn't prevent
WWII, making agreements with Putin is not
a way to prevent WWIII. Mr Prigozhin has
made one too, BTW.

It's not a game. Putin has an argument, a beef as we'd say on the
street. Trump has shown that he's needed and so have I.

Do you want more war, or an end to the oppression of Ukraine? Because
Putin isn't done. He's waiting to see how the U.S. goes forward.
Kamala Harris would've handled it well, we believe - but people had
more confidence in Trump, it helped him win including the popular
vote.

No, he has nearly 90% support from Russians so he is a super-democrat.

I think it might be akin to not thinking about any sort of "punishment"

Indeed the whole practical purpose of religion and metaphysics is to
make people behave better in this life out of fear for what may befall
in the afterlife. When the religion and metaphysics gives clearance for
evil action then there is no difference between atheists and believers,
conduct wise.

If anyone is starting wars, its us, who think that every two-bit dicator
is "the next Hitler".

This fear has been crippling us, and leading us into pointless
destruction for too long. Putin is Putin. Hitler was Hitler.

It is YOUR rhetoric which is dangerous, which would lead to WWIII. We
must be willing to negotiate and engage in diplomacy, otherwise the ONLY
option is war with a nuclear power.

When someone thinks that Trump is a Nazi, or that his supporters are, I
mentally flag them as deranged.

Before WWIII there was something commonly called WWII.

Now the overall features of the plot of the Ukraine conflict have
similarities to WWII and the fate of Germany.

Germans had actually believed, they were supported by the USA and the
UK, because there was generous support from Wall Street and the tycoons
of that era.

Also the British king and some parts of the British elite were
supporters of the Nazis.

So, the German took money, weapons and used uniforms and went into war
with Russia (known as 'Soviet Union' at that time).

BUT: the western 'allies' changed their mind and supported Russia later
and bombed their alleged 'friend' into oblivion, while delivering
weapons, money and other supply (including strange items like 'spam') in
huge amounts to Russia.

Something like that seems a likely scenario for the Ukraine, too.

But such a repetition of a successful plot is really stupid, because
people are sometimes stupid, but not all the time.

It is actually dangerous to repeat plots of big scale, because the
repetition would endanger the gain of the first occurrence of the same plot.

Now poor Mr Szelinsky got kicked out of the White house and does not
understand things anymore, even if that is not at all difficult.

It's all about money, which is not really Ukrainian money in this case,
but European.

From the Ukraine they 'only' want their natural resources (all of them,
please).

"'only' want their natural resources", then they should KILL for it.

For example...

you got a tribe of chipanzees living in a area that has no bananas, and
they see another
tribe of chipanzees living in a area that has lots of bananas...THEY
HAVE TO KILL FOR IT!!!!

dats is how it is done.

stab the chimpanzees with a pencil!

Nature.

Sure, but that gave 'bad press' in the past and therefore isn't
recommended.

It is better, if the apes offer the bananas themselves.

Yes, kind of. But in your picture the US are chimpanzees, aiming at the
other apes bananas.

Well, yes, 'the pencil is mightier than the sword', (but UseNet is ok, too.)

Not really. This was a shakedown attempt by Trump.

Note how quickly after the meeting ended (early) the timestamp on finely
crafted press releases were published the White House.

Plus as much as one will want to claim 'America First' on the money
spent, roughly 80% of was spent domestically in the USA.

FYI, an exact value is hard to pin down because its been complicated by
DoD accounting slights-of-hand. For example, M113s sent were claimed as
their original book value (purchase cost) of ~$600,000 each, despite how
they were being diverted from a demil (scrap) program where the DoD was
selling them for $1 (yes, one dollar) each. This inflates the claimed
value of the military aid being sent.

> This could indeed be WWIII.

All sorts of things *could* be. The biggest problem with the USA not
holding up to its 1993 & 2014 treaty obligations is that it can only
embolden other world stage actors such as Iran, NC & China. We've
already seen this is the Suez Canal, Taiwan, Philippines and literally
last week, a new provocation between Australia & New Zealand.

Wish it were so, but there's been zero saber-rattling to motivate Putin
to change course. The only thing which has happened so far this weekend
is that Putin's Hungarian puppet Orban has spoken up on how important it
is for Ukraine to knuckle under & sue for "peace". Recall that Neville
Chamberlain's "Peace in Our Time" success lasted for just 335 days: from
30 Sept 1938 until 31 August 1939. We've seen this playbook before.
