The Microtubule system must have to rapidly retrieve enough information from the microtubule memory system to make up the dream – and then store the dream itself in a new location so that he will "remember" it when he wakes up ! It would be interesting to know what microtubule memory experts think about this idea? . George .

How the brain works is relatively well known. It is called 'fuzzy logic'. Computers generally have 'bits'. They are on-off, and 'flip-flops' generally drive the 'bit' into either an 'on' or 'off' state. Then there is also a 'select' line that chooses which specific 'bit' or 'byte' or 'gate' is selected at any point in time for a 'read' or 'write'. Since each 'gate' is selected only one at a time, this is called 'sequential processing'. In 'fuzzy logic', there is more than one output from each 'gate' and more than one 'input' that determines whether each logic unit will 'fire' like a coding 'neuron'. There are also non-coding 'nerve cells' in a 'nervous system'. Some of them are called 'astrocytes' and among the glial cells, they look very similar to coding neurons. The 'weights' of each input and output called 'synapses' can change throughout time. There is the myth that one never grows new (what is that word), I read a few years ago, however that some glial cells can reproduce and gradually differentiate into coding neurons. Thus the myth that you can not grow new (something) is actually incorrect. Remember, coding neurons are different from astrocytes, which are a type of glial cell. It would take very, very, very advanced microscopy and computing to scan each neuron determine if each synapse is excitory and increases the propensity for an adjacent neuron to fire, or inhibitory and decreases the propensity for an adjacent neuron to fire. (This might possibly be simulated by noting the shape of the neuron and not needing to get something to detect what type of 'receptor' it is chemically, but that is far from obvious). Then take the entire set of scans and simulate an entire nervous system. Does anyone even care enough to bother trying? Well this is very difficult. Has anyone taught a very simple worm or jellyfish - something very simple. Killed the worm or jellyfish - and then done microscopy - this worm or jellyfish DID learn this when it was alive? This worm or jellyfish DID NOT learn this when it was alive? Sadly, even I am not sure if this has been done or not. A lot of web searches come up with 'content farm' garbage. Remember, many animals including humans - undergo 'decomposition' when they die. I do not know what percentage of humans are eaten by maggots, versus, mold, yeast, or some other types of fungus. Remember - most types of embalming do not even suppress maggots, they simply allow for a delayed funeral. Remember - there is 'cremation' and 'cremulation'. Cremulation involves crushing the bones. There are some places that prohibit you from spreading the 'ashes' of the deceased, Why? Because some funeral parlors are cheap. They actually leave noticeable bone fragments, because crushing entirely to a fine powder takes more time, and more money. There is also the concept of 'memory' and 'reading and writing'. If what is originally written is true information, you may be able to infer events prior to when you were very young. Then there is something called 'memes'. Are 'angels' or 'spirits' memes? Can someone be 'possessed' by a 'meme'? Then there is the concept of 'time travel'. In some distant future age - someone could 'copy' nerve patterns from the past, by reading some brain pattern from the past, and then 'upload' it into a future computer? Basic question - is that even remotely possible? Basic question - is human civilization itself inherently unstable - it is not possible for a 'future' to exist in order to make that possible? If it is possible, do some 'futures' have a civilization more advanced than ours? Do other futures have no future civilization to develop the technology even if it were theoretically feasible? Did future time travelers, from another parallel universe besides our own - travel back in time and meet Jesus? Yet in this universe, we have already gone past the point of no return - our parallel universe has no heaven and no hell because we have no 'future' do develop the capability - our future is destroyed and in our parallel time line we are doomed? Well, who knows.
