Given McGinn's stellar reputation here, quoting him here must mean Hanson must think Bert is a genius. That makes sense since hanson is blindly in love with Bert and still hopes to visit a graveyard with him and walk hand in hand, knocking over gravestones, before finally doing one of those face-shitting sessions with him. Perhaps after first treating Bert to a Taco Bell meal for maximum effect. Hanson is also hoping for a face-shitting session with his other love, Archie Pu, but he sadly knows Archie is starving himself so there's not much Archie Poo for hanson to feast on.

But he mentions the physicists oppose him for political reasons, so not for scientific reasons. So he simply implied those so-called physicists weren't "men of science", which makes sense, since opposing an idea for (any) political reason certainly isn't science. Anyway, my point stands, he never stated anything like "If you oppose my theories, you're anti-semitic."
