Everything is part of being a superpower, nuclear weapons development 
isn't a be-all or end-all. Do you suppose India, Pakistan, or North
Korea relied on American information to develop their bombs?

Eventually the "new" Russia will look remarkably like the Soviet Union,
only the names will have changed and perhaps operations will have been
streamlined. Compare the old SU constitutions to that of the USA.

Also note that Einstein, a central figure in the origination of nuclear
weapons, is not featured on the referenced web page although a number of
other foreign born scientists are.

Feel free to believe that without European scientists the America we
have today could not have happened. This presents yet another unwinnable
argument that this newsgroup has become famous for. My participation is
complete already but perhaps someone else will take up a banner and you
can go after one another. AFAIC it is pointless, but if you must, enjoy.
