You may of heard about the recent avalanche in the Himalayas . Large scale 2D DFTs can help predict such calamities by finding areas where lanslides have occured. These large 2D DFTs are best computed using smaller 2D DFTs. Does anyone, within this group, have an explanation as to how this is done.
