Devices for Automotive use are usually qualified for differing ranges 
depending upon the zone where they are situated in the vehicle:  -25 to 
105 deg C for benign zones or up to -40 to +150 deg C in more extreme 
zones such as the engine bay.

Consumer devices such as iPhones, computers etc are commonly rated for 0 
- 40 degC on the basis of being in a human comfortable temperature range.

Even if the outside temperature is outside that range humans usually 
will be somewhere with heating or cooling to maintain a more comfortable 
local climate.
