Small bite and a million possibilities – that’s the beauty of a Patagonian scallop. We love them as an appetizer, as a snack, or as the perfect topping to dinner. Not to mention, these scallops are preserved free from chemicals or water, right there on the coast of Argentina. With a 2-minute cook time, sweet flavor, and peace of mind, you can enjoy Patagonian scallops any time. https://rasamalaysia.com/garlic-scallops/ 1 lb (500g) natural and untreated scallops ▢1 tablespoon olive oil ▢2 tablespoons melted butter ▢3 cloves garlic (minced) ▢1/4 cup white wine ▢1 pinch cayenne pepper ▢1 pinch salt ▢3 dashes ground black pepper ▢1 tablespoon chopped Italian parsley leaves Rinse the scallops with cold water and remove the tough ligament from the side of the scallops. Pat dry with paper towels. Heat up a skillet (cast-iron preferred) on medium to high heat. When it's fully heated, add the olive oil and butter. Saute the garlic for a little bit and add the scallops, pan-sear until both surfaces turn brown. Add the white wine, cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper. Bring it to a light simmer, or until the inside of the scallops are cooked through. Turn off heat and serve immediately.

I'll be on the lookout for these scallops from Patagonia. The scallops I bought the other day was called "Baby scallop poke - sesame oil." They didn't seem like babies to me and came with the mantles attached. You get the soft muscle part and the chewy mantle. They are wonderful. https://photos.app.goo.gl/oC2pUtSK1yjVgtrz7

Meanwhile I ate baby octopi from a buffet stir fry, kinda rubbery but at least the head didn't explode in a squishy, brainy mess! https://simplelivingrecipes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/baby-octopi-cooked-in-the-instant-pot-rotated.jpg https://simplelivingrecipes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/baby-octopus-with-tomatoes.jpg I think I prefer squid, but need more tastings. 'Baby' octopus is just the marketing name for the adult octopus of a few species that don't grow much. I think they steamed them first then the stir frying made them rubbery. They were a popular item, more so than I'd have guessed. Lots of garlic, lemongrass, and onion and peppers. ...next time back, my own pics... Also had: https://cookpad.com/us/recipes/13448002-spicy-beef-tripe-stir-fry Ingredients 3 cup boiled and cleaned beef Tripe 4 tablespoon chopped onions 3-4 dry red chilli 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste Salt as required Mustard oil as required 2 bay leaf 2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1.5 teaspoon turmeric powder 3 teaspoon coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder 2 cardamom Water as required https://img-global.cpcdn.com/recipes/a64a294a364d9361/680x482cq70/spicy-beef-tripe-stir-fry-recipe-main-photo.webp Again, just a little buffet table rubbery, but so tasty!

Any restaurant that turns out mild wok char on all their food is doing things right. Looks like you are too. It's like tasting that 100 year old burger grease, it just smacks of nostalgia!
