When you are asking for the DPL to "provide technical leadership" and "leading across all aspects of the project", most people will read it as you requesting more decision-making power for the DPL. It is still not clear to me what concrete changes you want with the ambiguous abstract word "leadership". Replace the TC with DPL decisions? The DPL should personally moderate mailing list discussions? Or anything else? When you write "technical leadership" I think of a CTO, but our CTO is the chair of the TC and the DPL is our CEO. cu Adrian
