Hey there, I would like to join the Debian Python Team.

I'm Anton Shestakov, and I help maintaining hg-evolve extension for
Mercurial SCM, I have contributed to Mercurial itself as well, and I
would like to improve and help packaging new versions of
mercurial-evolve in Debian, as well as any other packages that I
potentially have expertise in.

I'm not very familiar with the official packaging process in Debian (we
do build .deb packages for hg-evolve upstream, but those are likely not
built to the same standards). But I've been learning how to do it, and
the results can be seen at https://salsa.debian.org/av6/mercurial-evolve
(it's diverged now from the main repo, but I started my work before
there was any activity there). I believe being a part of the team will
allow me to learn quickly and by contributing to Debian.

The first thing I aim to do is to improve the mercurial-evolve package
so that every upstream release can get packaged and included into the
official Debian archives as quickly and effortlessly as possible. The
package is also missing any autopkgtests at the moment, which is not
ideal, so I could work on that too.

IRC nick: av6
Salsa login: av6

I have read and agree to the Debian Python Team Policy at
https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/tools/python-modules/blob/master/policy.rst

Thanks!
