I noticed that repository, but it was for a really old release and never finished/uploaded as far as I could tell. Compare debian/rules, they are wildly different due to how upstream evolved. I found it easier to start from scratch than trying to fix the old package and then update it to the latest upstream version. I am happy to team maintain things. I wasn't part of the Python team when I wrote the e-mail below, but I am now. My repository below has been moved to: https://salsa.debian.org/python-team/packages/python-tuf/ I uploaded it to NEW yesterday. Don't let that stop you (or anyone else) from adding themselves to Uploaders and start improve the packaging, I am looking for help here! We should be prepared to roll a minimal-changes upload to NEW in case ftp-master's find a problem with the package though. So I would suggest pushing changes to a new debian/experimental branch for simplicity. Regardless of workflow, it will be possible to sort things out later. /Simon > Regards > > > > > -- > > https://purl.org/rzr > mailto:rzr@users.sf.net > > > > > > De : "Simon Josefsson" <simon@josefsson.org> > A : 934151@bugs.debian.org,931178@bugs.debian.org,"Lukas Puehringer" <lukas.puehringer@nyu.edu>,"Philippe Coval" <philippe.coval@laposte.net> > Envoyé: jeudi 5 Décembre 2024 23:45 > Objet : > > Hi! > > I am working on getting python-tuf into Debian: > > https://lists.debian.org/debian-python/2024/12/msg00040.html > > Packaging currently lives here: > > https://salsa.debian.org/jas/python-tuf/ > > I'd appreciate help and collaborators on this! > > /Simon > > >
